The Ullswater View lies beside Ullswater Lake, a short distance from the
popular
National Trust owned waterfall, Ayra Force.
There are many activities available nearby, including walking, pony trekking, fishing and boating. For those who enjoy golf there is a driving range at Penrith and numerous golf courses within easy reach.

Ullswater 'Steamers'
cruise the lake, and are popular with walkers who take the cruise from Glenridding
to Howtown on the East shore and walk back on the footpath along the shore
and through woodland. From here the scenery is magnificent, with views across
to Helvellyn. However, just cruising on the Lake is a very relaxing way of
viewing the scenery, which becomes even more magnificent in the Autumn.
Ullswater is reknown for its daffodils, and this is where Wordsworth was
inspired to compose his most well known poem, Daffodils.
Other nearby attractions include the historic house and gardens of Dalemain and Rheged, the Cumbria Discovery Centre.
Nearby Patterdale, a peaceful, unspoiled village, is the birthplace of the Patterdale Terrier, often refered to as "Fell Terriers".
The whole of Lakeland including Keswick, Ambleside and Windermere are all within easy reach of The Ullswater View. To the east is the Eden Valley and a little way to the northeast is Hadrian's Wall and the Scottish borders..
